He is responsible for one Heilongjiang Province Education Science Planning Key Project and one university teaching research project. Serving as Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer at Jiangsu Xinri Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. from 2003 to 2023, he held various positions including Director of Testing, Director of Technical and Operations Centers, and Standardization Engineer. Jian Wu currently serves as the Product Director of the Sodium-Ion Battery Division at Jiangsu Highstar Battery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. He has been engaged in the R&D of sodium-ion battery cells, system-level product development, and the promotion of related application fields for an extended period.

Tianbao Liang, R&D Director of Henan Chilwee Zhengxiao, holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology and is a Senior Engineer as well as an expert in IEC TC21. He entered the battery industry in 2006, focusing on the research of lead-acid batteries, low-voltage lithium batteries, and low-voltage sodium-ion batteries. He holds 40 patents, including 10 invention patents, and has published over 30 papers in academic journals. He has also participated in drafting 3 international standards and more than 10 national standards.


Huisong Guo, Deputy Director of R&D at Leoch International, has 15 years of experience in lead-acid battery product development and has obtained over 20 patents. Presentation Topic: Development and Application of Lead-Acid Battery Energy Storage Technology.

 Lin Hua, a zinc analyst at SMM. She is dedicated to research in the hot-dip galvanizing industry, low-grade zinc oxide, and zinc calcine industries, primarily focusing on the supply and demand, costs, related policies, and zinc futures of galvanizing, low-grade zinc oxide, and zinc calcine. She has been closely monitoring the production, inventory, orders, and processing fees of hot-dip galvanising enterprises, as well as the production and price trends of low-grade zinc oxide and zinc calcine enterprises. Rufei Wei, trained jointly by Western University in Canada and the University of Science and Technology Beijing, is considered a top young talent at Anhui University of Technology. His research focuses on low-carbon metallurgy and the recycling of solid waste resources. He leads one National Natural Science Foundation of China project, one Anhui Natural Science Foundation project, and has been involved in numerous collaborative projects. He has published over 40 academic papers in reputable journals and has applied for 20 patents.


Yonglong Jin holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and is a Professor/Senior Engineer. He serves as a Ph.D. advisor and has previously been an executive director at the China Iron and Steel Association. Currently, he is the Chief Expert at Hebei Iron and Steel Group Strategic Research Institute and Dahe Ecological Environment Technology Group Co., Ltd. His research focuses on comprehensive energy conservation and environmental protection in metallurgical processes, and new technologies for low-carbon metallurgy. He has attained significant achievements in areas such as solid waste disposal and utilization, desulfurization and denitrification of sintering flue gas, and optimization of raw material structures for blast furnaces. He has published over 110 academic papers, holds more than 10 patents, and has received 6 provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards. He has been honored as a "Hundred Talents" in Liaoning Province and a first-level candidate in Hebei Province's "333 Talents Project."


Yang Gao, male, holds a bachelor's degree from Southern Metallurgical Institute and is currently pursuing an Engineering Doctorate. Serves as the Rotating President and Chief Engineer of Xinlian Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. Previously held positions as Vice President, General Manager of Production Management Department at Xinlian Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., and General Manager of Jiangxi Jinbolai Resource Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. Participated in several award-winning projects related to efficient and sustainable resource utilization.


With 20 years of experience in the industry, focused on providing services for the bulk commodity industry chain, with profound understanding and relevant experience in spot trading market development, supply chain finance, and financial derivatives. Zhenhai Hou graduated from the Wisconsin School of Business, University of Wisconsin-Madison, in 2006 with a major in Applied Securities Analysis. From 2006 to 2007, worked at the Research Department of the University of Wisconsin Foundation. From August 2007 to July 2013, worked at China International Capital Corporation as a Macro Strategy Researcher, leader and primary author of reports for the Overseas Strategy Group and A-share Strategy Group. From September 2013 to December 2019, served as Chief Macro Economist at Yihui Investment. Xuesen Chen holds a master's degree and is a senior engineer at the professor level. He graduated from Northeastern University in 1989. He is a Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee, Vice President, and Spokesperson of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. He previously served as Director of the Nonferrous Metals Division of the Raw Materials Industry Department at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Director of the Rare and Rare Earth Metals Division at the Second Metallurgical Institute of Beijing General Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Director of the Nonferrous Metals Division of the Metallurgical and Building Materials Business Department at China International Engineering Consulting Corporation, and Deputy Director of the Metallurgical and Building Materials Development Department at China International Engineering Consulting Corporation.


Martin van Leeuwen is an experienced metal professional with 23 years of experience in zinc, aluminum and steel. Since 2020 he serves as Director, Technology and Market Development at International Zinc Association (IZA). He is responsible for market development of zinc products and applications in zinc coatings, zinc castings, zinc sheet, zinc batteries and zinc chemicals, and manages IZA´s regional programs in China, India, Russia, Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America. 
Prior to IZA, he worked in various roles as sales manager, market development manager and technical customer support for aluminium foundry alloys at Alcoa and for zinc die casting and galvanizing alloys at Nyrstar. Before that he worked in various process technology, engineering and R&D roles at Nyrstar, Gemco Engineers and Tatasteel Europe. 
He holds a master’s degree (MSc.) in Chemical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology from which he graduated in 1997.

Dr Yanchen Wang is the managing director of SMM Global UK office, which was established in May 2021. Currently He focuses on the base metals market research and SMM overseas business development. Dr Yanchen Wang is a well-known analyst in the global commodity industry. His areas of expertise include base metals market, coal and power industry, carbon emission market. In recent years, he has extended his research into the battery metals markets. He has visited more than 100 base metals assets around the world. Xingzheng Dai graduated from Kunming University of Science and Technology with a major in Nonferrous Metallurgy. He has successively served as Deputy General Manager of Umicore Yunnan Zinc Alloys Co., Ltd.; General Manager/Chairman of Yunnan Yuntong Zinc Industry Co., Ltd.; and Chairman of Yunnan Chihong Resources Comprehensive Utilisation Co., Ltd. He is currently the Deputy General Manager of Yunnan Chihong Zn & Ge Co., Ltd.

Since 2019, he has published five papers, obtained seven authorized patents, and received two First Prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress in Yunnan Province and two First Prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress in China's Nonferrous Metals Industry. He has been awarded the title of Technological Innovation Talent of Yunnan Province and the Special Allowance from the People's Government of Yunnan Province. He holds the professional title of Senior Engineer and is the author of the book ""Research on Enterprise-Wide Innovation Management."

Yangren Li, Senior Metallurgical Engineer; Serving as Executive Director and General Manager of Jiangxi Copper Corporation Metals Co., Ltd. since 2020. He has long been engaged in the production and operational management of lead and zinc smelting. He has received honors such as "Outstanding Entrepreneur of Jiangxi Province," "First Prize of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association," and "Second Prize of Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress."

Xiaomei Zhang has been professionally engaged in non-ferrous trade for over ten years at Shanghai Jingsheng Metal Materials Co., Ltd. As the Deputy GM & GM of the Comprehensive Trade Department, she is familiar with domestic upstream and downstream lead and zinc sectors and oversees the comprehensive operation of zinc ingots trades.


Chunqiang Zhang, male, holds a bachelor's degree. He has served as General Manager of the Power Supply Materials Company and General Manager of the Environmental Protection Technology Company under the Recycling Division of Tianneng Group. He is currently the Vice President of the Recycling Division of Zhejiang Tianneng Group, overseeing the Technical Equipment Department and the Overseas Projects Department. Rong Guang is the Head of the Research Center at Zijin International Trading Co., Ltd. Jingli Shi, a researcher at the Energy Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), has been engaged in energy economics research for 30 years. Currently serving as the Deputy Director of the Hunan Province End-of-Life Battery Cascade Utilization Engineering Technology Research Center, a member of the Automation Academic Committee of the China Nonferrous Metals Society, and a member of the Process Computing and Simulation Professional Committee. He has been engaged in technical research and product development in lithium battery ESS and cascade utilization, as well as research on intelligent factories in process industries for an extended period. He has participated in 2 national-level scientific research projects and 7 provincial and ministerial-level projects, and has been awarded two First Prizes and one Second Prize of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Science and Technology Award, as well as a Third Prize of the Jiangxi Province Science and Technology Progress Award. Chunyan Chen, Deputy General Manager at Sichuan Dayu Mechanical Sealing Company, is the Secretary-General of the Zigong Mechanical Sealing Association. She has been engaged in the mechanical sealing business for zinc smelting for over ten years and is well-acquainted with the status of zinc smelting seals in China. 



Zhenguo Song, male (born February 1982), PhD, Senior Engineer at the China ENFI Engineering Corporation and the State Key Laboratory of Mineral Processing Science and Technology. Focuses on basic research in physical-chemical grinding-flotation systems, and comprehensive utilization of complex, difficult-to-treat mineral resources. Developed multiple key technologies for multi-metal resource utilization and separation, applied globally. Led over 20 provincial and ministerial research projects with six major awards.


He Shang, Ph.D., Senior Engineer, and Graduate Advisor, is an Outstanding Young Engineer in Beijing. He currently serves as the General Manager of the Mineral Processing and Metallurgy Division and Associate Researcher at GRINM Resources and Environment Technology Institute (Beijing) Co., Ltd. His main research focuses on green extraction of refractory resources and resource utilization of solid waste. He has led national key R&D projects, natural science foundation projects, and other research topics, winning three first prizes, one second prize, and one third prize at the provincial and ministerial levels. He has published over 30 papers and holds 30 authorized patents. He also serves as Deputy Secretary General of the Rare Metals Metallurgy Academic Committee of the Nonferrous Metals Society of China, a member of the Precious Metals Committee and the Special Metallurgy Committee, an off-campus part-time advisor at Central South University, and a youth editorial board member for journals such as *Rare Metals*, *Nonferrous Metals (Smelting Section)*, and *Gold Science and Technology*.


Jiarong Tao, Senior Engineer, currently serves as the Deputy General Manager of Yunnan Tin Wenshan Zinc-Indium Smelting Co., Ltd. With over 20 years of experience in zinc and indium smelting, he has mastered the entire management chain of "technology-production-market." He has long been dedicated to research in the field of green smelting, building a full-value-chain management system, and advancing the "production-sales coordination + procurement-sales linkage + futures-spot hedging" integrated operation model, achieving industry-leading performance in total cost and by-product contribution. Huajun Xu, male, Senior Engineer, Registered Consulting Engineer, and First-Class Construction Engineer, serves as the Chief Engineer of the Metallurgical and Chemical Business Unit at China ENFI Engineering Corporation. He has long been engaged in engineering design and project management for non-ferrous smelting and solid waste disposal projects. He has participated in and led large projects such as the slag treatment of the top-blown furnace in Xiwuzhumuqin Banner, the zinc slag treatment of the side-blown furnace at Chifeng NFC, and the relocation of Hunan Zhuzhou Smelter. He has received one National Excellent Engineering Consulting First Prize, one Ministry-Level Science and Technology Progress First Prize, two Consulting Design First Prizes, and multiple Second Prizes.

Dr. Guan Chi Liu graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Tsinghua University and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne in Australia. He is currently a technical expert at Baowu Clean Energy Co., Ltd. Previously, he served as a senior energy architect for Tencent's data center and a full-time researcher and Ph.D. co-supervisor at the University of Melbourne. Dr. Liu specializes in the integrated generation-grid-load-storage systems, multi-energy coupling system planning, and energy strategic investment. 
As a core member of the Global Power System Transformation Consortium (G-PST), Dr. Liu developed a systematic planning methodology framework for the low-carbon power system transition of G7 alliance countries, formulated a ten-year research roadmap, and advanced the reform of international energy planning standards. In the field of industrial practice, Dr. Liu, as the chief project engineer, led the implementation of the first integrated generation-grid-load-storage project in the metallurgical industry in China. He was responsible for key tasks such as technical solution development and platform R&D, market pricing mechanism design, and multi-party contract negotiations. 
Dr. Liu has received honors such as the Shanghai Magnolia Talent Award and the IEEE Best Paper Award. With both international strategic vision and industrial implementation experience, his cross-disciplinary energy system planning expertise and empirical achievements provide valuable insights for the development of integrated generation-grid-load-storage systems in the non-ferrous metals industry.

Xiaosong Wu has been engaged in technical R&D and engineering design in the fields of heavy nonferrous metal smelting and resource utilization of hazardous and solid waste for a long time. He has led or participated in over 20 scientific research projects, including 2 national major projects and 1 provincial major project. He has been involved in more than 70 engineering design projects and served as the chief designer for over 40 of them.  
He has received 5 first prizes and 2 second prizes for scientific and technological achievements at the provincial and ministerial levels, 1 second prize for scientific and technological progress from Chalco Group, 1 key invention patent in Hunan Province, 1 second prize for excellent patents in Hunan Province, 1 first prize, and 1 second prize for excellent engineering design at the ministerial level. He has applied for and been granted 16 patents and has been a primary contributor to 2 national standards and specifications.  
He has been selected for the China Nonferrous Metals Innovation and Excellence Program, Chalco Group's ""Leap Program"" and ""Diamond Program,"" and the core talent program of Chalco International. He has also been honored with the title of Outstanding Young Survey and Design Engineer of Hunan Province.

Xiaowen Zhu, a master's degree holder in electronics and communications, formerly served as a chief engineer at the North China Air Traffic Management Bureau. With over 10 years of experience in information technology deployment in the civil aviation sector, she is currently the CEO of Beijing Fengrui Information Technology Co., Ltd. She has participated multiple times in the construction of large-scale digitalization projects for domestic and overseas mines.

Xiaolin Zhang, former Deputy General Manager of Sales at Haite New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Tangshan, focused on the new energy industry for 18 years, was well-versed in domestic PV and ESS market policies, understood the future trends in new energy technology, and excelled at formulating more valuable comprehensive energy solutions for companies transitioning from conventional to green energy.


Responsible for Sunman Global's marketing strategy, understanding the current status and prospects of both domestic and international markets. Founded in 2014 by Academician Zhengrong Shi, Sunman is dedicated to innovation in PV products and advancements in R&D technology. Sunman boasts industry-leading production equipment, processes, technologies, and intelligent information management tools, establishing a globally leading GW-level lightweight PV module production site with a planned capacity of 3GW. The company has achieved cumulative shipments exceeding 1.2GW, ranking first globally in lightweight modules, with its presence spanning over 40 countries worldwide. The eArc PV module, an innovative product from Sunman, utilizes high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cell technology and proprietary polymer composite materials, achieving a new-type crystalline silicon PV module that is glass-free, lightweight, and thin.

Ling Zhao, a graduate of North China Electric Power University, currently serves as the Sales Director of the Domestic Marketing Center at Shanghai Pylon Energy Technology Co., Ltd. He is primarily responsible for the sales of ESS products, the development of ESS projects, the exploration of ESS scenarios, and the expansion and maintenance of strategic partnerships within the domestic market. For over a decade, he has been engaged in the development, investment, and sales of new energy projects. He is highly familiar with the development of PV power plants, electricity market transactions, and the development and investment logic of ESS projects in various scenarios.

Yubo Wang, Ph.D., graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has long been engaged in research and software development in power systems and electricity markets. Currently, he serves as the Deputy General Manager of Beijing Yineng Zhongwang Technology Co., Ltd. He is a senior member of IEEE and the chair of the Princeton Chapter of the IEEE Power & Energy Society.
