Chris Galbraith is a 20-year veteran of the mining industry with a career spanning a range of commodities and industry focus. In 2021, he joined Teck Resources as Senior Analyst within Market Research, supporting the commercial group by forecasting zinc and lead supply and demand.Chris's current career phase has been as a market analyst. Prior to joining Teck, he developed multiple reports on carbon emissions, capital markets, exploration activity and mining supply, as well as contributing to supply modeling during a nearly 8-year tenure with S&P Global Market Intelligence. His current work as a mining analyst builds on a lengthy and progressively more senior role as a geologist, working in most Canadian jurisdictions and exploring for most commodities.Now living in Toronto, Canada, Chris holds a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University. He is also a Professional Geoscientist registered in the Province of Nova Scotia.

Yijun Li currently serves as the General Manager of the Nonferrous Commodities Division at CITIC Futures Co., Ltd. and as a mentor at the Business School of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He previously worked in private equity/venture capital (PE/VC) and at a central state-owned enterprise in the nonferrous metals industry. With fifteen years of experience in macro and industry research, as well as portfolio investment, he specializes in macro strategies, major asset allocation, and risk management for bulk commodities and foreign exchange derivatives within the industry chain for enterprises.

Chen Xuesen, Master's degree holder and Senior Engineer, graduated from Northeastern University in 1989. Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice President and Spokesperson of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. Previously served as Director of the Nonferrous Metals Division, Raw Materials Industry Department, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Director of the Rare and Rare Earth Division, Metallurgical Institute No. 2, Beijing Nonferrous Metals Research Institute; Director of the Nonferrous Metals Division, Metallurgical and Building Materials Business Department, China International Engineering Consulting Corporation; and Deputy Director of the Metallurgical and Building Materials Development Department, China International Engineering Consulting Corporation.

Dr Wang Yanchen serves as General Manager of Shanghai Nonferrous Metals Network's London Branch, established in May 2021. He currently focuses on market research for base metals and battery metals, alongside overseas business development for Shanghai Nonferrous Metals Network. Dr Wang is a renowned analyst within the global commodities sector. His expertise encompasses base metals markets, the coal and power industries, and carbon emissions markets. In recent years, he has expanded his research into battery metals markets, having visited over 100 base metal assets worldwide. Dr Wang possesses over 19 years of experience in commodities market research. He regularly participates in technical and market conferences, delivering keynote presentations at events such as the Asian Alloys and Battery Conference (AABC), the International Cobalt Association Conference, and London Metal Exchange Week. Prior to joining Shanghai Nonferrous Metals Network, he served as Principal Analyst and Head of China Silver Market Research at CRU, where he worked for 15 years. Dr Wang holds a Doctorate in Engineering from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Melody Dong is the Head of Commodity Research at Appian. She oversees market research and price outlook for Appian's commodity business, providing insights into market dynamics and forecasts of commodity supply and demand. Prior to joining Appian, she served as a Senior Analyst in the commodity sector for three years. She was part of the research team at China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC). Wang Changhong, Assistant Researcher at Central South University, is a national innovation and entrepreneurship "Outstanding Doctoral Talent," a strategic technology foresight specialist for the state, and a Hunan "Boxin" talent. Wenming Xia currently serves as Senior Analyst for the Lead and Zinc Group within the Big Data Department at Shanghai Nonferrous Metals Network. His primary responsibilities encompass research across the lead industry chain, covering supply and demand dynamics, cost structures, policy developments, and futures markets. During his tenure, he maintains close liaison and consultancy services with industry players and enterprises across the value chain (including mines, smelters, downstream processors, traders, funds, and investment firms). He regularly participates in surveys concerning industry capacity utilisation rates, inventory levels, production costs, and end-market demand. Additionally, he provides industry intelligence, price benchmarks, data sharing, market consultancy, specialised research, and market expansion services.

Doctor of Engineering, Professor at the School of Metallurgy and Environmental Science, Central South University, and doctoral supervisor. Primary research areas encompass clean non-ferrous metallurgy, hazardous waste disposal, material metabolism, and resource recycling. Zhen Han, Senior Manager of Lead and Zinc Research at SMM, is dedicated to research covering the fundamentals of the zinc industry chain, primarily focusing on supply-demand dynamics, costs, policies, and futures. She maintains close contact with and provides consulting services to domestic and overseas industry chains and related enterprises (mines, smelters, processing plants, end-users, traders, investment banks, fund companies, etc.), regularly participates in surveys on industry chain operating rates, costs, and end-user PMI, conducts field trips to inspect production conditions at various enterprises, and promptly follows up on market developments. 

Lillian Hua, SMM Zinc Analyst, specializes in the research of the hot-dip galvanizing industry, low-grade zinc oxide, and zinc calcine sectors, covering supply-demand costs, relevant policies, and zinc futures related to galvanizing, low-grade zinc oxide, and zinc calcine. With long-term dedication to the development of technologies such as low-carbon smelting of non-ferrous metals, efficient extraction of scattered metals, and solid waste resource utilization, he has overcome numerous "bottleneck" challenges hindering industry development. He has received three provincial and ministerial-level first prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress, participated in one national key R&D program and eight provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects, obtained over 20 authorized patents, published more than 10 academic papers, developed and revised two industry and association standards, and reviewed one national standard and three association standards. 

Liang Xu, a Master of Metallurgical Engineering from Central South University, is a Senior Engineer. Since July 2008, he has been engaged in non-ferrous metal engineering design at China ENFI Engineering Co., Ltd. He currently serves as Deputy Director of the Second Metallurgical Office in the Metallurgical and Chemical Division of China ENFI.
He has participated in the design and consulting work for dozens of lead, zinc, and tin smelting projects, including those for Silver, Zhuye, Yunnan Chihong Zn & Ge Co., Ltd., Sihuan Zinc & Germanium, and Yunnan Tin. He contributed to the R&D and design of several key technologies, such as the world's first and largest 152 m² zinc concentrate roasting furnace, China's first industrial application of oxygen-enriched roasting, and the world's first side-blown furnace for treating zinc leaching residue. 

Zhenqi Wang, born in November 1980, graduated from Kunming University of Science and Technology with a major in Measurement and Control Technology and Instrumentation. He is currently a doctoral candidate at Northeastern University, a member of the Communist Party of China, and a senior engineer. He currently serves as the legal representative, director, and general manager of Xinjiang Zijin Non-Ferrous Metals Co., Ltd. He has been engaged in the smelting and refining of precious metals, pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy of copper, and conventional zinc smelting.

Ling Zhang, currently Deputy Director of the Scientific Research and Innovation Center at the Changsha Nonferrous Metallurgy Design & Research Institute, is a senior engineer. He has long been engaged in the design and research of pyrometallurgy processes, including copper smelting, lead smelting, zinc slag treatment, nickel smelting, and tin metallurgy. He has designed and reviewed several projects, such as the 400,000 mt oxygen-enriched side-blown—multi-gun top-blown copper smelting system for the second phase of Nanguo Copper Industry, the 700,000 mt oxygen-enriched side-blown—fuming smelting system for zinc leaching residue in south China, the 198 m² zinc fluidized-bed roasting furnace, the Zhongjin Lingnan Dan Ye zinc slag flash smelting system, the technology for oxygen-enriched continuous and efficient smelting of high-grade nickel matte from Indonesian laterite nickel ore, the Chenzhou oxygen-enriched side-blown triple-furnace lead-zinc smelting system, the Jiangxi side-blown fuming smelting system for tin slag, and the Kazakhstan side-blown fuming system for lead-zinc slag. He has received six ministerial-level awards for scientific and technological progress, holds over 20 patents, and has published numerous papers. 

Li Cunxiong, Professor at Kunming University of Science and Technology, Doctoral Supervisor, is the Party Representative at the 11th Provincial Congress of the Communist Party of China in Yunnan Province. He has been honored with awards such as the "Huoyingdong Young Faculty Award" and "Teaching Excellence Award", selected as a "Visiting Scholar" under the Western Light Program of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, and recognized as an Industrial Innovation Talent in Yunnan's "Xingdian Talent" initiative. Focusing on major strategic needs at the national and local levels, he has engaged in the research, development, and application of cutting-edge technologies for the clean and efficient utilization of complex non-ferrous metal resources, as well as the high-value treatment of hazardous metallurgical waste. Technologies he developed, including unconventional enhanced extraction and clean utilization of copper, lead, and zinc smelting slag and dust, large-scale reduction and volume minimization of hazardous arsenic residues, pressurized acid leaching of complex zinc resources with deep recovery of associated elements, and pressurized enhanced leaching and comprehensive recovery of secondary gallium, indium, and germanium resources, have been applied in leading enterprises such as Yunnan Copper Co., Ltd., Yunnan Chihong Zn & Ge Co., Ltd., Shandong Humon Smelting, and Yunsheng Germanium Industry. These advancements have resolved key technical challenges in green and clean metallurgy, generating cumulative profits exceeding 1.5 billion yuan for enterprises, and contributing significantly to the high-quality sustainable development of the non-ferrous metals industry. 

Hongzhen Wang, Master of Engineering, Senior Engineer, Registered Consulting Engineer (Investment). He serves as the Chief Engineer in the Metallurgical and Chemical Division of China ENFI Engineering Co., Ltd., primarily engaged in the process design and research of non-ferrous metal hydrometallurgy. He has received three first prizes for Excellent Engineering Design and three first prizes for Excellent Engineering Consulting from the China Nonferrous Metals Construction Association. He has organized and participated in the formulation of one national standard and three industry standards.

Shu Yang, Vice President of Jiangsu Weiheng Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Postdoctoral Fellow at Fudan University, former Assistant Researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences Xi'an Branch, presided over or participated in dozens of national and provincial-level scientific research projects, published dozens of SCI papers, and also led the establishment of the Xi'an Intelligent Gas Detection Engineering Technology Research Center, serving as its head. Xinzhen Zhang, Chief Engineer and Associate Senior Engineer of Bayannur Zijin NON-FERROUS METAL Co., Ltd., is engaged in production management and technological development for zinc smelting and gold smelting. He has received five provincial and ministerial-level Science and Technology Progress Awards and has been granted three invention patents.

Shuiping Zhong, PhD, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, currently serves as Dean of the Zijin School of Geology and Mining at Fuzhou University. He is a National Leading Talent in Science and Technology Innovation under the ‘Ten Thousand Talents Plan’, a selected candidate for the National ‘Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Talents Project’, and has been honoured as a National ‘Outstanding Middle-aged and Young Expert with Significant Contributions’. His primary research focuses on novel copper-gold-lithium-zinc beneficiation and metallurgical processes, extraction and high-value utilisation of rare and precious metals, and industrial electrochemistry. In recent years, he has led over 30 projects including National Key R&D Programmes, National 973 Programme topics, National Natural Science Foundation grants, Fujian Provincial Outstanding Youth Fund projects, Xiamen Municipal Key Projects, and corporate collaborative projects with Zijin Mining Group. He has received four first-class provincial/ministerial science and technology awards and one China Patent Excellence Award.

Hongjun Fang, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of Wanyang Zinc Industry Co., Ltd. Presentation Topic: Technical Innovation in the 186m² Roasting Furnace – Wanyang Pioneering a New Paradigm for Green and Efficient Lead-Zinc Smelting; Since 2001, has been engaged in lead-zinc smelting at Wanyang Group. Participated in Wanyang Group's oxygen-enriched molten pool smelting project, triple-furnace project, and upgraded triple-furnace for recycled lead projects; involved in the expansion of the world's first 186m² roaster and Wanyang's 150,000-tonne zinc-based materials green intelligent manufacturing project, leading the team to construct the largest single-series capacity project.

Huajun Xu, male, Senior Engineer, Registered Consulting Engineer, and First-Class Construction Engineer, serves as the Chief Engineer of the Metallurgical and Chemical Business Unit at China ENFI Engineering Corporation. He has long been engaged in engineering design and project management for non-ferrous smelting and solid waste disposal projects. He has participated in and led large projects such as the slag treatment of the top-blown furnace in Xiwuzhumuqin Banner, the zinc slag treatment of the side-blown furnace at Chifeng NFC, and the relocation of Hunan Zhuzhou Smelter. He has received one National Excellent Engineering Consulting First Prize, one Ministry-Level Science and Technology Progress First Prize, two Consulting Design First Prizes, and multiple Second Prizes.

 2023: Appointed General Manager of Jiangsu Tianneng Resource Recycling Technology Co., Ltd.  
-- Led the upgrade of the acid-making system to produce AR-grade refined acid products  


Dr. Guan Chi Liu graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Tsinghua University and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne in Australia. He is currently a technical expert at Baowu Clean Energy Co., Ltd. Previously, he served as a senior energy architect for Tencent's data center and a full-time researcher and Ph.D. co-supervisor at the University of Melbourne. Dr. Liu specializes in the integrated generation-grid-load-storage systems, multi-energy coupling system planning, and energy strategic investment. 
As a core member of the Global Power System Transformation Consortium (G-PST), Dr. Liu developed a systematic planning methodology framework for the low-carbon power system transition of G7 alliance countries, formulated a ten-year research roadmap, and advanced the reform of international energy planning standards. In the field of industrial practice, Dr. Liu, as the chief project engineer, led the implementation of the first integrated generation-grid-load-storage project in the metallurgical industry in China. He was responsible for key tasks such as technical solution development and platform R&D, market pricing mechanism design, and multi-party contract negotiations. 
Dr. Liu has received honors such as the Shanghai Magnolia Talent Award and the IEEE Best Paper Award. With both international strategic vision and industrial implementation experience, his cross-disciplinary energy system planning expertise and empirical achievements provide valuable insights for the development of integrated generation-grid-load-storage systems in the non-ferrous metals industry.

Xiaosong Wu has been engaged in technical R&D and engineering design in the fields of heavy nonferrous metal smelting and resource utilization of hazardous and solid waste for a long time. He has led or participated in over 20 scientific research projects, including 2 national major projects and 1 provincial major project. He has been involved in more than 70 engineering design projects and served as the chief designer for over 40 of them.  
He has received 5 first prizes and 2 second prizes for scientific and technological achievements at the provincial and ministerial levels, 1 second prize for scientific and technological progress from Chalco Group, 1 key invention patent in Hunan Province, 1 second prize for excellent patents in Hunan Province, 1 first prize, and 1 second prize for excellent engineering design at the ministerial level. He has applied for and been granted 16 patents and has been a primary contributor to 2 national standards and specifications.  
He has been selected for the China Nonferrous Metals Innovation and Excellence Program, Chalco Group's ""Leap Program"" and ""Diamond Program,"" and the core talent program of Chalco International. He has also been honored with the title of Outstanding Young Survey and Design Engineer of Hunan Province.

Xiaowen Zhu, a master's degree holder in electronics and communications, formerly served as a chief engineer at the North China Air Traffic Management Bureau. With over 10 years of experience in information technology deployment in the civil aviation sector, she is currently the CEO of Beijing Fengrui Information Technology Co., Ltd. She has participated multiple times in the construction of large-scale digitalization projects for domestic and overseas mines.

Xiaolin Zhang, former Deputy General Manager of Sales at Haite New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Tangshan, focused on the new energy industry for 18 years, was well-versed in domestic PV and ESS market policies, understood the future trends in new energy technology, and excelled at formulating more valuable comprehensive energy solutions for companies transitioning from conventional to green energy.

The eArc PV module, an innovative product from Sunman, utilizes high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cell technology and proprietary polymer composite materials, achieving a new-type crystalline silicon PV module that is glass-free, lightweight, and thin.

Ling Zhao, a graduate of North China Electric Power University, currently serves as the Sales Director of the Domestic Marketing Center at Shanghai Pylon Energy Technology Co., Ltd. He is primarily responsible for the sales of ESS products, the development of ESS projects, the exploration of ESS scenarios, and the expansion and maintenance of strategic partnerships within the domestic market. For over a decade, he has been engaged in the development, investment, and sales of new energy projects. He is highly familiar with the development of PV power plants, electricity market transactions, and the development and investment logic of ESS projects in various scenarios.

Yubo Wang, Ph.D., graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has long been engaged in research and software development in power systems and electricity markets. Currently, he serves as the Deputy General Manager of Beijing Yineng Zhongwang Technology Co., Ltd. He is a senior member of IEEE and the chair of the Princeton Chapter of the IEEE Power & Energy Society.
